You bet and let me tell you what it'll be the best burger you've ever had!!!!!
Okay burgers. Kind of expansive. Fries where also nothing special. I love name though!
Not a bad place for a burger and a cheap beer if you have some time to wait, but I was a bit disappointed. Burgers, while good, are overpriced, and the fried foods were all a miss. Onion rings over done, zucchini under done, and fries that practically dripped grease. Ended up just having our burgers and left the sides behind.
The burgers are charcoal grilled, and they have an island bar. The staff is always super friendly.
The burgers were great and fresh. The onion rings and mushrooms were some of the best I've had in awhile. I liked the decor of the place as well. Will definitely stop in again on our next trip to Flagstaff
Bun Huggers has a fun relaxed atmosphere and is located right on the main road through Flagstaff. Customers order at the counter and then pay for their food when it is ready which is a little different. A small salad bar and burger condiment bar allow you to customize your food choices. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is made fresh so it takes a little longer than you might expect from counter service but it’s worth the wait. I would like for them to have their prices online so customers know what to expect before they arrive. We found pictures of the menu board online but they must have been outdated because each item was about $3 more than the picture we found.
Phenomenal! I almost don't want to share this secret with the masses. Incredible service and food is unbelievable! We had mushroom chicken sandwich, Sonoran steak sandwich and a burger. All were terrific. The mushrooms are so savory as well, both on sandwiches and as a side. If you are Flag, a must to check out.
Great mixed drinks and they have a dart board
We love Bun Huggers but only get to go only so many times a year. Today, however, we went to Grand Canyon today, and made sure to arrive in time by 8pm because we saw that Google said Bun huggers wouldn't close until 10pm. But when we arrived, at 8:15pm. It was already closed! We reserved a hotel in Flagstaff just so we could stay the night after Bun Huggers, we only live in Phoenix so a hotel wasn't necessary. We tried to call, no answering machine. We tried to check their website, Google said they don't have one. Grrr.
I love a good burger and Bun Huggers delivers that every time. Knowing that they cook it to order, when I order is the best. The fried veggies are great too!
There are so many reasons I love this place Cline Library couldn't hold all the pages I would write to say it. In short, they do beef right, not to mention chicken, mushrooms, zucchini, salad bar. It is a proper meeting place. And they have the Valley National Bank sign, the internal cornerstone of Chase Bank, which is revolutionizing cash business to your HEALTH! TALK ABOUT THAT OVER A BURGER! And have a beer when you think you are clear to know good taste!
Just visiting Flagstaff when saw that they served charcoal grilled burgers thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. The burger has Great Smoky flavor and the fries are awesome. The big hug Burger is a half pound Burger. They didn't scrimp on the size it's at least a half pound if not more. The service is great and the people seem to enjoy what they're doing. I will definitely come back.
It's been a long time since I ordered a medium-rare burger and actually received a medium-rare burger. I was stoked to see that this restaurant cooked my burger perfectly. The fried stuff was good, but it's possible their oil isn't quite hot enough because it was a little greasier than it should have been. I look forward to returning to try more food.
Looking for a good burger and good atmosphere then look no further! One of the best burgers I've ever had. If I lived close to this place I would go there twice a week! Great service as well. Very affordable so tip a couple bucks if you can. I highly recommend this place if you are traveling through Flagstaff
Burgers are fine, but I feel like the meat should be more seasoned. That's just my opinion. People working there are friendly and nice
Burgers are bomb! Always a fam favorite
They keep upping the prices and wouldn’t recognize that they had. I just want a burger that won’t break my wallet or my teeth. I would come here much more if it was still 5/burger but they’re burgers are like an after thought compared to the other cheap places
The burger was really good. Good grill taste. The only reason not a five was the bun was a bit over heated and very small portion on the fried mushrooms. Overall though we enjoyed it!
One of my childhood stops while our family had a cabin in Munds Park. Took my kids here and it felt like walking into a time machine. Delicious burgers and a small town feel! The tables were a bit sticky and dirty but other than that had a great time here.
I miss the old menu choices, but still good.
Well we always stop in at the bar side of Bun Huggers. The food is phenomenally good.. the bathrooms are extremely clean. Many many TVs. Multiple games going on at once. Pool tables are very nice.. with plenty of room for the two tables with out Bumping into each other..🤟🤟🤟
For the price of the food on the menu! You could definitely use some better quality ingredients! Like.. your beef! I was disappointed and I dont plan on going back anytime soon
Amazing burgers and sandwiches. Every burger tastes like a craft burger and their steak sandwiches are like no other. Always a favorite between my friends and I. To compliment the sandwiches are the perfect fries and/or onion rings. Perfectly fried and seasoned. Great burger joint and bar if you're in town or just passing through.
Bun Huggers is one of the few restaurants in town I take friends and family to. When we want burgers, this is the spot. They serve you just the patty and cheese, and it's up to you to dress it how you want. The place has a simple but cool atmosphere, and most importantly, the burgers are meaty and excellent every time.
Delicious food. Good menu for all ages. I highly recommend you give them a visit, and enjoy.
This place does not disappoint. Actual charcoal fired grill with a bar for your toppings to make it exactly how you want it. Came here a lot in my school days, a decade later, while passing through, it's exactly the same place with exactly the same care and attention to their quality. Always a great time. Highly reccomend it.
Best burger in Flagstaff 😊 would come back again.. highly recommend..Food :Burgers and steak sandwiches were so delicious and yummy.Patties are flame grilled and it's fresh. Fries and onion rings were also great. Burger or sandwich size is average.Couldn't find a kid's menu.Ambience:Good and very casual ambience.kind of local set up. Service :Counter service. No table/ restaurant service is available. Have to build our own burger by picking from Salad bar and condinment bar. Staffs were also friendly.Restrooms are also pretty neat and clean.Cost:Less than $10.
Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. Only ordered fries and zuchs to share. Friendly service. Quick. Fresh. Tasted great - love their ranch. We will definitely be back to try the burgers!
Great tasting burger, many options. Pass on the lackluster fries. Slow service, pleasant dining area, nice spot to stop off and eat while traveling through Flag.
I really enjoyed this place. It'd give it 5 stars but my friend really didn't like what she ordered so I figured I couldn't give it a perfect score. The food is good but the wait was a lot for what we ordered. Its not fast food but it's not served to you. You create your own burger, they give you a bun and Matt and you put together the rest.
I was really looking forward to this place, unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. I felt that the burgers were over priced, way overdone, and nothing special. The sides are (sort of) customizable - I had onion rings (good) and fried zucchini (not good). The zucchini tasted like something you would get from the frozen food section at the grocery store. The rings, however, were crunchy and not too bad. My son had the fries, and liked them - they were the best part of his meal. The atmosphere was kind of neat; very nostalgic. All-in-all, I would say skip this one. The best thing about it is the name... I won't be returning.
College-town burger joint with a build-it-yourself toppings bar (Fuddruckers style). The rugged and wood-filled atmosphere seemed promising but the food was very simple and overpriced for how underwhelming it was. They also don't salt or season their fries! It's OK if you're looking for a no-nonsense burger spot, but look elsewhere if you're more focused on taste.
The food was very delicious. I love that we get to put our own toppings on the burgers. I also love that the fries are real potatoes! The atmosphere is so cool!
Burger was fresh, hardly any interaction with staff, you put on your own condiments
Big, beefy burgers cooked to order, and a full toppings bar to top them off. And a salad bar.
Excellent charcoal broiled burgers! I really enjoyed their limited menu because I tend to suffer indecision with too many choices. However, if they ever return to their full menu, I'm sure it would make an even more excellent burger joint.
The 3 stars is for the food. The awkward and uncomfortable service is was lost the other two. The guy at the register was very stand offish and made me feel like I was a burden. I am not a huge fan of onions on my burgers, so when I asked for no onions he responded slowly... "I mean yeah we can do that, but it already comes on the side..". He just as easily could have said "No worries, our garnish comes on the side anyway".
The bigger was delicious, and the chilli cheese fries were to die for!
My fries were a little over cooked. Otherwise just as I remember it.
Way too Over priced for everything to be "a-la-cart". Not a friendly place for people with food allergies. Don't let the counter folks fool you, the lettuics wrap is a lie; doesn't exist. I paid $8 for a soy bean patty (littery, just the patty on a plate) only to place horrid chopped iceberg on top my self at the "condiment bar"; which is also a sad joke. I'm still confused as to why the food here is so expensive for serving myself. Let's condiments that spoil easily sit out all day long.Too expensive for what you get. There's better places to eat.
Fun and inviting atmosphere with good food. Not overly priced with a salad bar that contains all of the condiments and toppings one would want to place on there hamburgers. I would recommend different wording for more clarification on a menu option. You can "smother your burger in chili" for an additional charge. I personally thought it was chili with beans, etc. But it was in fact a chili pepper. Not a problem, just confused when I initially got my food.
Very comfy cozy type place, everyone is friendly and happy. Food is fantastic, almost has kind of a food truck vibe to it, fun over all and the type of place you wanna be.
Great local dive. Had a small pitcher of beer and the bacon cheeseburger. Will definitely make another visit.
Limited dine-in, not what it used to be because of the circumstances. Still quality burgers and still a place to go for delicious fried zucchini or onion rings (both my fav). "Limited menu" but had all I could want!
Bun huggers still has great food
Place is open during these trying times but same great char-broiled burgers. Menu is simple now. Seen workers cleaning up right after tables are used so that was good to see.
Cold beer, great burgers with all the fresh toppings available. Also, don't miss out on those chili cheese fries! Yum.
I love the name, and the buns. You can dress your own burger. The burgers also have a delicious smokey taste.
